We concur with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s recommendation that kids receive a first dental visit at or near their first birthday. Starting regular dental visits when teeth begin to emerge puts kids on the path to a lifetime of good oral health.

The doctor will check your child’s smile for age-appropriate dental development and give you tips to care for your child’s teeth at home. We may recommend dental sealants and/or a fluoride treatment to keep your child’s teeth free from cavities.

If we notice a problem with bite alignment or a lack of space for permanent teeth to properly erupt, our orthodontist can evaluate the situation and explain treatment options.
